Redundancy

Redundancy

A redundancy case may arise by dismissal of an employee due to issues such as closure of the business or workplace, or reduction in the size of the workforce. A contractual redundancy amount may be payable if there is a contractual right , while a statutory redundancy payment may be applicable if an employee shows that the dismissal was due to a "reason of redundancy". Your solicitor will need to prove that the dismissal was due to redundancy in order to bring a claim against your employer. There is also the issue of proving whether an employee was dismissed or left on his own. As the basic weekly pay which can be claimed has a limit, there is a need for a legal redundancy advice expert to look into the matter, and that is where Legal Compare can assist you.
